Fall Semester and a super late update

Gosh... my first five months of living in Japan went by allot more faster this time around than the last time I lived here. I have already been in Japan for about a half a year and to tell the truth I feel alot more excited about my future than when I lived here last time. Maybe it is the differences between a Japanese language schoool versus a college or maybe it is the difference between living alone versus living with a friend. I don..t know ... but I am trying to enjoy every minute of it before I have to move back to the USA whenever that might be...

As most people know if you look at my emotion icon I always say I am busy or more homework... the reason being this semester I am actually taking 18 credits for the first time in my whole college academic career. I hope I can survive but... I might end up dropping one or two of the classes....

Classes:

Introduction to Anicent China

Introduction to Anicent Japan - Modern Japan

English

Japanese Interpertation

Modern Chinese Politics

Japanese translation

Harold and Kumar

Hey, how is everyone today? I finally bought my plane ticket it looks as if I will go to Japan later than I anticipated. I will arrive in Japan on Saturday the 9th, I had to buy my ticket late because my student wouldn't be processed in time for me to leave on Thursday. Besides this I have been just getting ready. I watched Harold and Kumar 2 yesterday. The movie was soso for me, the movie had too much nudity for me and some of the humor didn't work for me. But my family thought different they really enjoyed the movie.

I wish everyone luck !!!

Miyuki Miyabe the best mystery author in Japan?

Hello, how is everyone doing on this first day of May? Summer is just around the corner, so I decided to get all of the reading I can get done before then. I started reading a book I found on my bookshelf called RPG or Shadow family. I have owned this book for over year but I have yet to read it because I have been so busy with school. However, now that the semester is over I have free time to read a book besides quick humor books. I barely stared the book so I won't give an official review. But I want to tell whoever is reading my blog that if you are interested in Japanese mystery novels that deal with everyday Japanese life and how the police and detectives do their jobs in Japan, I feel that you will enjoy Miyuki Miyabe's books.

The sexy Carol Alt

I am somewhat excited at the moment. After looking online for some raw food recipes I came across diet tv’s website and according to them Carol Alt lives the raw food lifestyle. Most people of my generation know Carol Alt from the last season of Celebrity Apprentice. She was my favorite person on the apprentice so I am quite excited that she lives the same lifestyle I am trying to live. She was the second runner up of the apprentice if you anyone cares…..

The number one book in America

Congratulations to Chelsea Handler for having the number one book in America!!!!!!!!!!!!

Raw diet coke diet

Yo yo yo , it is me scareylarryjapan, how is everyone on this fine Wednesday. I have been good, I wanted to talk about something I have been attempting at doing, well, those who are close to me know I have gained a couple of dozens of pounds since I have returned to America. So in order for me to lose some weight, I decided to do the raw food diet. I have noticed that allot of people have been trying to lose weight to fit in their summer swimsuits as for me I don't swim. I just want to look good in everyday clothes. I started the raw food diet about three days ago and I have stuck to it very well. I wake up eat a fruit salad, for lunch I eat a salad and for dinner I eat a salad. However, today due to all of the stress with me moving next week to Japan with no visa I decided not to eat a raw food for dinner, instead I ate a smart choice frozen dinner with only 230 calories and six grams of fat. I think this won't hurt my diet too much, I hope. But there is one thing I am noticed I do often when I go on a diet and that is drinking allot of diet coke. I don't know why I do it, I guess it is lack of meat in my diet or the lack of cheese but every time I start a diet I end up guzzling about a twelve back of coke a day, and today is no exception. I guess I still have a long ways to go before I cut diet coke out of my diet, but I will start once I get off the plane in Japan. Besides the diet news, nothing is new in my life I wake up every afternoon at 2 check my email with anticipation of seeing a email saying Temple of has received my COE, but then my hopes are crushed because I didn't get the email instead I get a email saying it I want to make my little man bigger and please the women. I hope my luck improves , or at least the Japanese immigration office can speed up the process for god sake.

I cannot sleep !!!!

As you can tell by the time of this post I cannot sleep. I just finished cleaning off my bookshelf and found a bunch of books I no longer have room for so I decided to take them to the garage, where my family has a whole wall dedicated to books that we have used during college or we have no room for in our house. However, to my surprise I noticed that there was over FIVE SHELVES OF MAGAZINES. In order for me to make room to put my books on the shelf I needed to get rid of the magazines. While I was taking the magazines off of the shelves I started to notice the dates of most of the magazines. Some of the magazines dated back to the year 2000 to 2006. After clearing the shelves I decided to come back inside to check my email to see if I have herd anything from my admission counselor, but there is still no news on my visa situation. Now I know that I won’t have enough time to change my COE within the USA, so I will need to most likely attend Temple on a tourist visa until I get the whole visa situation figured out. I am looking forward to tomorrow or should I say later today, I need to finish my economics paper and I also need to get the magazines ready so I can take them to the recycle center.

To ask a mexican about Grand Theft Auto?

Hello, Everyone, I am doing good just getting ready for my journey to Japan. However, I had a drawback as you all might know I still don't know the status of my student visa. And considering I am leaving to Japan in a little over a week I gave my school Temple a call. After leaving a message with my admissions counselor, I received a email later that night tell me to hold off buying a plane ticket because the Japanese immigration department said that they have sent out a couple of CEO's to Temple and they should received around Wednesday their time because of the Golden Week Holiday and mail will not be able to be delivered on Tuesday. Let's see what kind of news I hear tonight, I hope it is good news.

Also I have been really busy buying things I need for Japan like clothes, and clothes. However, yesterday while I was at the bookstore my mom and I found this really interesting book called To Ask a Mexican, written buy Gustavo Arellano. The book features articles from an OC newspaper that Arellano has written over the years. Arellano receives questions about Mexican culture, sex life and everything in between via readers and he writes an answer. Allot of Hispanic, I believe will like this book, but as for me I found the book a bit boring. I am not saying it is funny, but if you have no interest in the Mexican culture like me I don't think you will enjoy this book.

Finally last night I ended up purchasing Grand Theft Auto IV for my sister for her birthday. I thought the line would be small considering I live in a small town. But boy was I wrong. When I went to Gamestop last night at around 11:45 to pick up the game I found out that there was a line around the building. I didn’t leave the store until one; my sister owes me big thanks on her birthday.

two weeks left until I should arrive in Japan?

Hello, everyone how is everyone doing? I haven't been doing too bad myself. I have been busy with school; I cannot believe that I only two weeks until this semester end. This semester has gone by so fast and I have learned allot about my self in the process. I learned that I cannot take online classes because I am not disciplined enough to deal with all of the responsibilities. I also learned that I have grown closer to my family these last couple of months. I know they can get on my nerves most of the time but hey they are family.

As for Japan I am still waiting to hear about the visa situation at the moment, according to my admissions counselor he is still waiting to hear from the immigration office. I only have two weeks until I am supposed to arrive in Japan. Yet, I haven't bought a ticket or even found out I have received a visa to study in Japan. The way I look at it right now, I might end up going to Japan or not going to Japan at all.
I have also started to read the book Vodka are you there? It is me Chelsea, I would like to say this book is as funny as Miss Handler's TV talk show. The book goes into detail about her life growing up in NJ to her relationships in her 20's to stories about her crazy family. The book is a fun and fast read, it only took me one day to read from front to back and I enjoyed every minute of it. If you don't mind crude humor I would recommend it.

Hello everyone, I dont know if anyone is reading my blog. However, I decided to keep it updated on a regular schedule. I found out I was accepted to Temple and I received a scholarship. I should be leaving early May if all of my finances workout and I am able to go. I am hoping that everything works out so I can go.
