Wii Fit and Thphong

Today Thephong came over to visit me and hang out. We spent most of the day playing video games. We played guitar Hero and then we started to play Wii Fit and continued to play it for five hours straight. I cannot believe how I tired I got from playing a video game.

Walking around Ikebukuro with Seigo

Today I meet with my friend Seigo for lunch. We had lunch at my favorite Thai place by the name of Tinun. They shop is most famous for it`s Thai style ramen. This was my second time eating with Seigo at Tinun. After eating Tinun we decided to head to starbucks and have some coffee and discuss the new Iphone which will come out this summer. At the current moment I am considering purchasing it if I continue to live in Japan after graduation. Soon after enjoying our coffee we went to Meijiro by walking where Seigo showed me his previous high school. After walking around for a bit we headed back to Ikebukuro and headed our separate ways.

A fun day with friends

Today for the first time a long time I decided to head out to Ikebukuro and do some walking around. I got to Ikebukuro at around 11am and decided to walk Sunshine city and it`s vicinity and headed to bookoff to look at books. Once I was there I noticed I got a email from Jennifer saying she was in Ikebukuro with Laura. So I decided to meet them and hang around sunshine city. After leaving sunshine city we headed to a Taiwanese snow cone shop. The snow cone was very different from the traditional American one because instead of using shaved ice they use shaved milk ice and add a topping. After eating the snow cone I decided to head to Shinjuku to meet with Esteban and Masa. While meeting Esteban he helped me with deciding what I should do after I get out of school and what kind of career I should pursue.

It was a really nice day to catch up with friends.

Shinmisato

Today I went to Shinmisato located in Saitama to buy some house goods. Today I got off to late start because I needed to go get my bike fixed. I planned on leaving from my station at around 1pm but it ended up being 2pm by the time I rode the train. From my current house it takes about 1 hour to get to shinmisato but it is the closest Ikea to my house. On the way to the station I thought I saw a fire from the train window... however I got to ikea around 3pm and I walked around and found many things I want but I couldn`t buy many of the goods because the furniture was too big for Japanese houses. Soon after looking at things I had lunch at their cafeteria. The lunch was good as usual and then I bought some house things. After buying house goods I decided to head to lalaport which is a shopping mall chain in Japan where I purchased a shift from H&M. Soon after shopping around Hayato and I went to a Chinese restaurant and had some dumplings and other Chinese dishes, it was all very good.

Hollywood

Recently while looking on the web I came along a British folk pop singer that goes by the name of Marina and the Diamonds.

Here is one of her videos called Hollywood, I really enjoyed the 80ish type of pop music used in this song.

More crazy Hanami pictures

Here are some pictures my friend took of our Hanami adventure a couple of weeks ago

Simple tomato base seafood feast

Today Hayato taught me a new recipe which really simple and easy to make and very delicious. The recipe only requires white wine, tomato sauce, any type of fish you would like to put in such as cod, shrimp or clams. We used clams, cod and shrimp.

The first think you do is make a pouch with some tin foil and place it in a fry pan
Then you spread the foil with some extra virgin olive oil
Soon after coating the tin foil you put in some tomato sauce
Then you put some white wine
Followed by adding your favorite sea food and cheese on top.
You then close the pouch and let it cook for approx. 10-15 minutes

Very simple and easy recipe to cook
