Karuizawa Trip

About one month ago I went on a company trip to the small tourist town of Karuizawa. This being my first time out of a major city in Japan, I was a little excited.

Karuizawa is a beautiful place to visit. While staying there I was able to view a lot of nature. Karuizawa reminded me a lot of my hometown in Colorado. Small town surrounded by nature. If I have the opportunity to visit again I will.

She who screams

Today I was at the gym. After a hard workout all I want to do is leave and go home to relax. While walking out of the locker room, I accidentally ran into a Japanese woman. She screamed loud as if I was about to attack her. The reason we had run into each other was because the men and women locker doors are right next to each other .  Which in the end caused use to collide with each other.

From now on I will try to be more careful when I leave the locker room...

I need to lose weight

Many foreigners who come to Japan often talk about how they lose weight so easily.

This was also the case for me my first two years in Japan. Maybe it was walking everywhere and eating smaller portions but over the last couple of years I have gained nearly 15kgs. There are many factors to my weight loss but I think the main reason being eating late at night.

I have started to excise more and eat a healthier diet as well as eat well before 10pm.

Wish me luck !!!

Follow your dreams

Hello Everyone,

Sorry for the late entry but I have been busy with work. I have recently been super busy at work as well as some personal life things.. I will talk about the other stuff in a later blog.

Either way, I have decided to write a blog entry about following your dreams. I often get a lot of questions from readers asking how I got to Japan and if I could give them any advice. All I can say is never give up on your dreams. Although it might be impossible to achieve them or you might think that you do not have the opporunity at hand. Never give up.

Enjoy life everyday and enjoy reaching your goals no matter how big or small they may be. I have learned this over the last couple of weeks. Many people around me have lost loved ones to sickness and other unforeseen outcomes over the last week. Thus, I have decided to live the way I feel appropriate for me.

Sometimes positive things can come from bad outcomes... who knows

Just remember to be yourself ...
